All the cultures listed in the catalogue are available on request for educational and research purposes, while only some are also available for commercial purposes, subject to specific agreement between the DBVPG Collection and the applicant institution/company.
Cultures conserved in the DBVPG Collection are maintained in frozen (-80°C) and lyophilized form. Therefore, each culture will need to be revitalized before shipping. This procedure usually takes a few days (depending on the species); in addition, before sending, each strain will be checked from a physiological and taxonomic point of view, therefore it is considered that the entire procedure will last approximately 3-4 weeks.

It is also advisable to examine the strain upon arrival to exclude the presence of problems (vitality, purity or the presence of different cultural characteristics). Any unsatisfactory strain in this sense will be replaced upon request within thirty (30) days from shipment by the DBVPG Industrial Yeast Collection.

In case of a request, it is necessary to fill the appropriate DBVPG Request Form providing the following data:

– the name of the person and institution to which the strain must be sent

– the legal representative of the institution

– the complete address of the institution

– the telephone number and email

– the VAT number (for invoicing).

After the filling, the form will be automatically sent to the curator of the DBVPG Collection who will carefully evaluate the request.
The applicant institution / company must download the newly filled DBVPG Request Form in pdf format.

The legal representative of the applicant institution/company must also complete and sign the Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) in which the reason for which the strain is requested is stated (e.g. research, teaching, etc.). The DBVPG Collection distributes its strains exclusively under the terms and conditions specified in the MTA. By ordering from the DBVPG Collection the applicant accepts these terms and conditions. After receipt of the Request Form, the DBVPG Collection will contact the applicant at the email specified in the model, confirming the request, and sending the appropriate MTA referring to the requested cultures.

The applicant institution/company, after printing the DBVPG Request Form and filling and printing the received MTA, must sign both by the hand of the legal representative and send them by email to the curator of the DBVPG Collection Benedetta Turchetti.
